The City of Seabrook currently has approximately $1.8 million (about $135 per resident) in combined unspent funds - including a budget surplus, Port Houston payment and capital funding - that can be used on projects to enhance our quality of life.

Prior to reading this, which best describes what you knew about these $1.8 million in unspent funds?

The Pine Gully Pier was destroyed by a hurricane in 2021. The City had a new pier redesigned to be storm resilient and put out for bids in 2022, but the City lacked FEMA funds and other City funding at the time to proceed. The current skatepark at Meador Park could be replaced with a new concrete skatepark, and that new skatepark concept could also be expanded to include a concrete bicycle pumptrack.

Which of these, if any, would you or your household use regularly if rebuilt? (Choose all that apply)

Pictures and estimated costs for these projects are below.

If the City could fund only one major project with these unspent funds, which one would you choose?

Can you think of any smaller project(s) the City of Seabrook could do, maybe $25,000 or less, that would improve quality of life for you and many others in our community? (Please be specific enough that the City could actually do the project)

Any other comments or suggestions about how the City should use (or not use) these funds?
