Right now residents in the City of Schertz are on two different solid waste collection services. One part of town receives hand-collected trash pickup service twice a week and the other receives automated cart pickup once a week. With the solid waste collection contract expiring in June, the City has put out a Request for Proposals for solid waste services and will be looking to enter into an agreement that puts everyone on the same service.
