Data centers are buildings designed to house computers that provide services such as websites, artificial intelligence software, and other online “cloud computing” applications. They range from huge “hyper-scale” campuses with million square foot buildings covering hundreds of acres, down to single buildings the size of large format retail stores (100,000 to 200,000 square feet), or even small retail stores (10,000 to 20,000 square feet). Hyper-scale data center campuses are not feasible in North Richland Hills.
