The Municipality of Lambton Shores is investigating possible participation in the Province of Ontario's golf cart pilot program, which would permit golf carts to operate on certain municipal roads under specific conditions and restrictions.

The Province of Ontario’s rules include mandatory safety features on golf carts like turn signals, running lights, and rear-view mirrors. And golf carts can only be used on roads with a speed limit of 50 km/h or less, between April 1 and November 30. Municipalities may choose to implement additional local rules that are more restrictive.
