Except for sparklers, smoke bombs, and snakes, fireworks are illegal in Georgetown and within 5,000 feet of the city limits (which includes the neighborhoods of Cedar Hollow, Crystal Knoll, Escalera, Fountainwood, Indian Creek, Logan Ranch Road, Lost Rivers, Oak Crest, Olde Oak Estates, Serenada, Shady Oaks, Turtle Bend, and Woodland Park, areas along D.B Wood Road and others). Illegal use of fireworks can lead to fines up to $2,000 per firework against property owners, even if the property owner didn't set off the firework.
