The current sales tax rate in Duarte is 9.5% of which the City of Duarte gets 1%. The remaining 8.5% goes to Los Angeles County and the State of California

The City of Duarte’s 1% sales tax revenue is about $5.4 million, or about 32% of the annual $17 million City budget. The City of Duarte is expecting flat tax revenues and increasing expenses for services in the years ahead.
