The Canyon City Council is placing a $14 million Public Safety Bond Election on the May 2025 ballot. The funds would be used for construction and renovations to the police station, fire station, fire annex, fire training field, animal shelter, and city hall. If it passes, the estimated tax increase would be under $8 a month ($88/year) for a home with an appraised value of $100,000, or $20 a month ($240/year) for a $275,000 appraised value home.
