The City of Bedford has certain rules or “codes” to maintain the appearance of our neighborhoods and home values. These codes regulate parking, garbage, property and landscape maintenance, and other things people can see from public roads and sidewalks. The City also has a “Neighborhood Services” (Code Enforcement) team that identifies code violations to be fixed and issues code compliance notices (door hangers, courtesy letters, or violation notices) if they are not fixed within a certain timeframe.
