Diamond Peak - shelve the amusement park plans. Beaches - work on tightening access to truly residents and their guests only. Eliminate "white forms" and ability to purchase additional punch cards.
Updated rec center, summer activities at Diamond Peak to bring in revenue and tourists, do something with the eyesore that is thew old elementary school.
I would like to see the summer recreational assets added to Diamond Peak.
Update Diamond Peak with a focus on Snowflake Lodge and upgrading the Ski/Boarding venues. The summer activities improvements I don't feel are needed or viable.
Diamond Peak: Replace Snowflake lodge with a four-season facility, accessed by a gondola for non-skiers, bikers or hikers. Add an ice skating rink (much as has Northstar). Beach facilities: Plans to update restrooms and concession are fine. No need to add much more - keep the more natural lake experience.
Diamond Peak Master Plan, Incline Beach facilities update/ rebuild.
Diamond Peak could run its lifts during the summer (could be called the "incline" that our village is named after). For a small fee, picnickers, hikers, and sightseers could easily go to the top, have some fun, and ride back down. This would be win-win, I think, because it would also generate some income.
Before we waste money on a trendy zipline and playground at Diamond Peak would rather see us look at what Lake Tahoe doesn't have - How about a tennis bubble that can allow residents and visitors to play tennis year round (right now only option is to drive to Reno), Would like to see better storage racks for paddleboards and Kayaks, would like to see a learn to sail program for adults and kids. Better and more lounge chairs at both beaches (why not rent them to non residents.
With the exception of Diamond Peak, I'm interested in general updates and policies that favor property owners over visitors/rentors.
1. Keep Diamond Peak winter only. 2. Improve bike lanes and sidewalks/walking trails throughout town
Keep it simple. No need for more alcohol or additional bands on the beach. What we have is sufficient. I have had problems getting into Tyrolean Village many times in the winter because of Diamond Peak traffic/parking.
Summer activities at diamond peak and new incline beach snack stand/restaurant
Do not try to make Diamond Peak a summer time attraction.
Making sure beach access is only available to residents and guests. Addressing the yearly financial losses by the golf courses. Figuring out if spending money on Diamond Peak summer activities is really necessary / profitable.
Do something with Diamond peak in the summer
Summer utilization of Diamond Peak; year-round tennis facility.
I oppose the Diamond Peak Master Plan and do not approve of the hundreds of thousands of dollars the District is spending on consultants for the Plan and the permitting process. These dollars could best be used on hiking and biking trails which the community supports. At this juncture, until all the recreational venues are operated efficiently and at a breakeven, the District should not be in the business of expanding facilities, services, amenities and programs.
Would like to see more off-season events and uses of Diamond Peak.
Improve Village Green building so it can compete for wedding venue business. Daily use limit for beach access with property owners having 1st priority. Force removal of abandoned Orbit gas station and determine appropriate reuse. Old elementary school demolition and determine appropriate reuse. Expand lift serviced ski terrain at Diamond Peak along with more parking.
Keep implementing the Diamond Peak Master Plan
Transfer Diamond Peak and Golf Courses to private companies
Diamond Peak summer activities
Expand rec center and add better pool (slash zones, etc). Improve Incline Beach. Improve Diamond Peak by adding more year round activities and opening up snowflake for summer
Summer activities at Diamond Peak
Implement the diamond peak master plan
I'm more interested in maintaining what we have than expanding it, and see very limited benefit to upgrading a facility before it needs to be or making it much fancier. I'd rather a bunch of lower cost fixes or even improvements, than a big one. For instance, while snowflake lodge is dated, I don't feel it should have a costly makeover in hopes that it can make money in the future. Instead, make necessary upgrades (maybe enclose some outdoor space so it's more habitable in a snowstorm, even if it's not heated, and figure out how to serve food a little quicker on busy days) and then let some of that (extra food revenue) help pay for making the bathrooms just a little bit bigger. Always look for big return (sometimes money, but sometimes non-monetary) on low cost, such as putting in a skills MTB course, a mini golf course, and a big on-the-ground slide at Diamond Peak in the summer months, even if those don't bring in money directly.
New and expanded Snowflake Lodge, rope courses and alpine coaster at Diamond Peak
Improve restrooms and food and drink facilities at Incline Beach. Improve launch ramp at Ski Beach. Add summer use venues to Diamond Peak.
Bike/walking paths, summer use of Diamond Peak
Pump track is a must! Improve bocce courts. Summer operations at Diamond Peak!
chateau - open weekends during winter Snowflake - open in summer/ diamond peak open in summer - weekend?
Some Summer activity on diamond peak; More centralized downtown area with local business supported
summer access/programs at Diamond Peak, residents only parking in the summer at the beaches, more sports facilities
Longer launch ramp and better monitoring of it during peak times to lessen the delay in launching and retrieving.
Food svcs at beaches set food standard/hours. Hiking/mtn biking trails at diamond peak
I prefer summer uses for Diamond Peak to be innovative and non mechanical. For example a tree-top ropes course. I do not favor mechanical ride features.
Improve the skiing and facilities at Diamond Peak. Work on a cross country skiing area at Incline Lake. Keep the golf course fees reasonable for residents. Charge the tourists more. keep the golf courses in great condition.
Expand youth programs at pool and rec center, especially winter, expand youth programs at Diamond Peak in summer.
don't turn this village into a destination. we don't have to compete for every tourist dollar. we don't need to turn diamond peak into a summer zoo. people can go to Northstar or heavenly. everything is crowded enough in the summer.
I think this is already being discussed...but I would like to see the lifts at Diamond Peak open in the summer for mountain biking/hiking. Other than that I am happy with things as they are.
Better entrance, food/drink, facilities at Incline Beach. More terrain, better facilities at Diamond Peak.
Diamond Peak should have low impact summer activities. The women's restroom at Snow Flake Lodge needs expansion and updating. Snow Flake Lodge would be a wonderful breakfast/lunch venue in the summer.
Do not expand summer operations of Diamond Peak. It should remain a local family area.
Make Dimond peak year round!!!!@
Develop a dog park. Strengthen and enforce beach access procedures. Revisit the Diamond Peak development plan - are you representing the tourists who visit periodically or the residents who live here year round? If we wanted the South Shore style or living we would have moved there
Summer operations at Diamond Peak
Any thing that does not increase number of tourists. Am not interested in building to increase tourism. Let's only build, etc for locals-the parcel owners. Do not want summer activities at Diamond Peak. Do wants ORD 7 revisted- to exclude more tourists. Why do I live in Incline if we only " build" for tourists??
Summer amenities at Diamond Peak
Diamond peak open in summer
More boat parking Dedicated lake access for dogs (hermit beach) Add additional lift to Diamon Peak
Keep dog park. Make Diamond Peak more accessible to hold events w/o being constrained by IVGID catering.
