currently there is no public trash can between Burnt Cedar beach and Incline Beach. How about installing one in proximity to the mailbox in the area of Juanita?
Public landscaping and beautification along Tahoe Blvd.
1. Winter dog beach access should be expanded to include Incline Beach. This would have nearly zero cost and would benefit thousands of dog owners. There are very few other visitors to I.B. in the winter and thus there's conflicts. 2. Provide better enforcement of the wildlife/trash rules (well, frankly, at this point "any" enforcement would be a positive change.) 3. Improve financial reporting transparency (also nearly zero cost) especially for capital improvements. For example, the budget summaries should include total spending on each project otherwise it's really impossible for the Trustees and public to know how were are doing on budgets.
Remove ugly, green water slide at Burnt Cedar. (Seldom used) Improve the appearance of Tahoe Blvd. so it looks inviting like Truckee or Tahoe City, i.e. flower baskets, better sign control. Christmas Tree Village needs regulations for signs and ugly buildings. Get rid of old gas station on Lakeshore turnoff to I.V. Clear snow from bike paths in winter so they're walkable. Make a rule that visitors cannot "buy" beach passes at rec. center. Put pressure on Washoe County School District to make good use of old elementary school land, i.e. park or space for summer art festivals. No one can see bronze exhibits in roundabout. They should be moved to beaches. If Meals on Wheels is cut from budget, ask for volunteers to do the driving and meal preparation. Project Mana should be allowed to store their food in Incline at a reasonable rent. Would be nice to have more public celebrations, maybe a Cinco de Mayo event in the Village Center?
Allow residents to trade in one or more of their free transfer station visits for more stickers for yard waste as 96 is not NEARLY enough for many yards and it promotes public safety for everyone to dispose of their pine needles before fire season.
Create a weekly or twice a month newsletter to keep the public informed of IVGID actions, issues, controversies and positions. The Bonanza has ceased being a news provider.
) Enforce the NO DOG rule at the beaches during off seasons (except Ski Beach). Many people ignore the very prominent signs so have IVGID employees do periodic visits and issue written warnings. 2) Publicize in local media and put up signs around town that there is, in fact, a dog leash law for Incline Village (Washoe County Codes) and push local law enforcement to issue tickets to dog owners who's dogs are off leash in public places, especially on trails and on roads within Incline Village.

Not leave it in a bag on the trail to pick up on the way back or never pick up.
A couple of public trash receptacles on lakeshore boulevard.
Find a public location and host a regular food truck get together. Perhaps every Sunday evening?
Hold Quarterly Town Hall Meetings where the Community can ask questions and receive answers from Trustees. Reinstate public comment for each item on the Board Agenda. Publish a directory of parcel owner contact information. Create a "centralized" website with all IVGID recreational activities and services with rates and schedules.
1. Year round weekly farmers market/ business public trade shows. Share all the talents of this great community. 2. A dog park that has docents to help others with training and care for their dogs.
Spend time on olan for affordable housing for public employees: teachers, sheriff, fire
1. More sidewalks and bike paths 2. More hiking trails. 3. Ordinance with enforcement to disallow boat storage on public streets. 4. Less frequent Backflow testing. Perhaps once every 5 years. $10k used to replace lost income to IGVID. I'm unaware of any community that has annual requirements.
More green space available to the public. Work with other community partners-SNC, LTS, Washoe School. Incline lacks true public space
Open the golf courses for walking one day per week (or more) in the summer (evening hours fine too). Expand youth golf program. Open Chateau Grille in the winter (hot chocolate, etc) and expand the sledding area at the golf course -- fee area would be fine. Get bike project off the ground and fully supported (go visit the Truckee pump track as an example). Support public schools ... before and after school programs and utilization of gyms and help with scheduling to optimize facilities. Make Chateau facility more affordable for public use -- see Tahoe Donner's restaurants including Pizza on the Hill with summer programming including bingo and family fun activities (movies, more golf programs, etc). Same with Diamond Peak building and facility -- there could be lots more happening there in the off season.
I think you should be more specific if you want public input and why the $10k limit? How would we know what costs $10k and what doesn't.. Bad question.
1. Beautify the intersection of village and Tahoe Blvd. 2. Build an easy trail up to snowflake lodge for dinner hiking. 3. A piece of public art; better if it could be created by IV student(s) 3. Build another bocce ball court at incline beach. 4. More barbecue grills st the beaches.
Better web site for paying public works payments. One that does not charge a fee.
