The City of Stillwater is your local electricity provider and gets the majority of its power from renewable energy sources such as wind and hydroelectric, with the rest from natural gas and coal. The average retail rate is currently about 11.0 cents per kilowatt hour, which means the average monthly bill is about $96 per month.

Prior to reading this question, which best describes what you knew about the City of Stillwater electricity provider?

The City is looking into a “community solar” option where some customers could get up to 100% of their energy from subscriptions to use specific panels or amounts of power from a large solar panel farm that would be constructed inside city limits.

Which best describes what you would be willing to pay to get up to 100% of your energy from community solar panels?

If the City of Stillwater could get more renewable energy from solar or wind energy, which one would you prefer, if any?

The City of Stillwater could also buy renewable energy certificates for customers. For an extra 0.002 cents per kilowatt hour, you could have certification that 100% of the power you use comes from wind.

If this option was available, would you be interested in paying extra for this certification?

Any other comments or suggestions about electricity or renewable energy options in Stillwater?
